The first announcement about the line-up at this summer’s London Concours promises a mouth-watering showcase.
Between 6-8 June, the event will once more take over the Honourable Artillery Company’s site in the heart of London – and on the Wednesday it will be all about the Porsche RS.
Expect a 50-strong display of RS models, spanning the history of these race-inspired cars, from the original 1972 2.7 RS homologation car to the very latest bewinged 992 GT3 RS.
All sorts of legends in between will include the sublime 997 4.0 RS, which has 493bhp, carbonfibre bodywork and an 8500rpm redline, and the last of the air-cooled models, the 993 RS.
When the London Concours returns for its seventh edition, the displays will change from day to day.
As well as the Porsche RS assembly, these concours classes will include Bespoke Automotive, Built to Race for the Road, Evolution of Aero, The Cars that Built Land-Rover, as well as groups for GTs and coupés of the golden era of motoring.
There’s even a class called Make Green Great Again, inspired by the social media trend for cars finished in verdant shades.
