There’s a new entry into the high-end international event calendar – and it’ll take place in Britain next July.
Auto Royale will feature a 150-car concours plus vintage, classic and supercar car club displays, specialist trade stands and more, and will take place at the majestic grounds of the Althorp Estate in Northamptonshire.
The ‘British International Concours d’Elegance’ will see entrants compete for category awards and the Best of Show accolade, with classes for everything from Edwardian-era vehicles right up to ’80s cars.
And if the location’s name sounds familiar, that’s because for more than 500 years it’s been the ancestral home of the Spencers – that’s Diana, Princess of Wales’ family.
“We are delighted to announce the date of the inaugural Auto Royale at Althorp,” said Ben Guynan, Sales Director at Marque II International Media & Events.
“Working in partnership with Lord Spencer and the Althorp Estate, we believe Auto Royale will offer something entirely different in the UK for the international enthusiast, with our goal to become the most anticipated classic motoring event of the British summer season.
“We have many exciting announcements to share in the run up to Auto Royale, including some of the rarest examples of automotive design in the world, many of which will never have appeared in Britain before.
“Paired with the historic backdrop of the Althorp Estate, Auto Royale is not to be missed.”
