A whopping 35 Ferraris are to be auctioned off this month in what is believed to be the largest auction dedicated solely to the Italian marque ever seen in Europe. The online-only auction was launched on 29 January by online auction house Catawiki, and includes some of the most desirable models from the 1980s and 1990s.
The collective value of the classics has been estimated at £2.6m, with prices ranging from an entry-level £25,000 through to the most expensive lot – a Dino 246GT – at £330,000.
The sale also includes a number of modern classic pin-ups, with a trio of Testarossas, seven Mondials and a lone 550 Maranello all expected to perform well following a surge in values in recent years.
“We often see Ferraris pass through our auctions, however this is particularly special as it will be the largest ever collection of classic Ferraris on sale in Europe,” said curator Sander Houdel. “Undoubtedly one of the world’s most iconic and desired cars with a collective value of over £2.6m, we’re expecting a huge amount of interest.”
Unlike a conventional auction, buyers will have plenty of time to consider their purchase, with bids being welcomed up until the close of play on 12 February.
