The last Aston Martin DBS to leave the production line has sold at auction for £43,240 after being discovered in a Surrey barn, where it had been in storage for more than 30 years.
The car was sold at Coys' 10 March sale and fetched comfortably more than its £25-40,000 pre-sale estimate.
Despite spending three decades away from the public eye and remaining unused for the duration, the DBS did emerge briefly in 1990 to undergo servicing. It has just 40,000 miles on the clock and was bought by an Aston Martin enthusiast – and owner of a rare DB3S – who intends to restore the car to its former glory.
