Following the success of last year's inaugural Warren Classic Car Show, C&SC will again be supporting the event at The Warren Golf & Country Club near Maldon, Essex on 10 May.
C&SC's own Mick Walsh will be taking his 1948 Lea Francis 14hp to participate in the Post War Sports concours, and will be on hand to chat to readers throughout the day. His classic will be joined by a fantastic turnout of Cobras, including Mark Chowis' 1965 AC Willment Ghia Supersonic. Mercedes-Benz fans will also be in seventh heaven, with no fewer than seven 300SL 'Gullwing' and four Roadsters in attendance.
Other highlights include the Beaulieu Museum's own 1935 Auburn 851 Speedster and the 1961 Osca 1600 GT Touring of Corrado Lopresto, who will be travelling over from Italy for the event.
To celebrate our continuing ties with the show, we're offering C&SC readers the chance to buy tickets for just £10 if you come in your classic. All you need to do is quote 'C&SC' when booking – but hurry, time is running out!
The entry fee covers your car and everyone in it, and also gives you access to a special Classic & Sports Car VIP area where we'll keep you plied with complimentary tea and coffee all day, plus an afternoon of sandwiches, scones and cake.
As well as the usual concours classes, C&SC will again be running our 'people's concours', chosen from classics found in the visitors' car park. There will also be the first display in Britain of every European Car of The Year winner, from 1964's Rover 2000 to this year's winner, the Peugeot 308.
The list also includes past victors such as the NSU Ro80 (1968), Citroen XM (1990) and Toyota Prius (2005).
