Not even a global pandemic can stop the Hope Classic Rally from raising vital funds for vulnerable children in Eastern and Southern Africa.
In place of its usual in-person events, during which classic car owners donate their cars for enthusiasts to drive and which to date have raised more than £1.3m, the charity has launched a celebrity fundraiser for 2021.
Supporters are being invited to place bids in order to win a virtual meeting with a celebrity of their choice, either 2009 Formula One drivers’ champion Jenson Button, triple Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti, former Formula One driver Felipe Massa, TV host Richard Hammond, Sky F1 presenter David Croft or English rugby union player Lewis Moody, who was part of the team that claimed the 2003 World Cup.
