Classic & Sports Car – World's biggest gathering of classic car clubs set for NEC

More classic-car enthusiasts than ever before will be able to get involved with this year's Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show.

The 2018 show, which takes place from 9-11 November, will be the biggest yet, as an extra hall has been added and more clubs have been invited to display their cars. As a result, the show will constitute the largest gathering of classic motoring clubs in the world.

Around 300 classic car, ’bike and vehicle clubs are coming to the NEC Birmingham for this year's extravaganza, celebrating 2018's theme, 'Built to last'.

The additional hall will take overall show space up to a massive one million square feet – so make sure you're wearing comfy shoes if you're planning to go!

This new hall – hall 8 – will be known as The Debutant Hall and will accommodate 15 clubs that have never before had displays at the show.

These include the Austin Rover & MG Owners Club Sussex, the Richard Burns RB5 and RB320 Memorial Club, the Perana Owners' Club, the Monoposto Racing Club, Dorset Area Farina Owners and United Centos (Fiat Cinquecentos and Seicentos).

Club Calibra, Fordsport, MINI Y REGister and Racing-Puma.co.uk will also be in The Debutant Hall, as will the Cannock and District Car Club, Chevettes n Kadetts, Fiat Coupé Club, RS500 Owners and the Retro Caravan Club.

It's also a chance to welcome back clubs that haven't attended for a while, such as the Aero Minx Register, the Historic Marathon Rally Group, and the Zastava and Yugo Owners' Club.

Organisers hope that with around 40 more clubs, there will be in the region of 3000 classic cars, vehicles and ’bikes on show, plus 650 specialist traders and dealers.
